The Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) recently appointed a broad-based Strategic Focus Group and a Strategic Working Group to spearhead the development of the Association’s 10-Year Strategic Plan (2026–2036).
Working hand in hand, the two groups are driving an inclusive strategic planning process aimed at developing a comprehensive roadmap that will guide the growth and development of football in Zambia over the next decade.
The Strategic Focus Group provides strategic direction and oversight, while the Strategic Working Group is responsible for the technical aspects of the exercise, including stakeholder engagement, data collection, analysis and the drafting of the Strategic Plan.
To ensure that the Strategic Plan reflects the views and aspirations of the football family and the wider public, the Strategic Working Group is employing several data collection methods, including:
1. Strategic Focus Group discussions.
2. Expert interviews with specialised stakeholders such as former and current footballers, coaches, referees, administrators and other football experts.
3. An online public survey.
The Strategic Working Group now invites members of the general public to participate in the online survey and share their views on the future of Zambian football.
Every response will play an important role in shaping a Strategic Plan that responds to the needs and aspirations of all stakeholders.
The public is further informed that additional physical stakeholder engagement meetings will be held in selected locations across the country. The dates, venues and times for these engagements will be communicated in due course.
We therefore kindly encourage everyone to participate in the online survey by clicking on the link below and completing the questionnaire.
