Victor Osimhen’s future has taken another twist, with the Nigerian striker now reportedly favoring a move to Spain despite recent links to Galatasaray.
According to reports from the daily newspaper Sport and journalist Ruben Uria, representatives of the former LOSC striker recently pitched him to Atletico Madrid.
The Madrid club is said to appreciate the Super Eagle’s qualities, but any such move remains closely tied to changes in its own roster.
The Colchoneros would only move forward with the deal if a striker were to leave. However, at this stage, no major transfers seem to be on the horizon, particularly that of Julian Alvarez, who has been touted as a key part of the club’s sporting project.
Another major obstacle is the cost of the deal. Victor Osimhen is reportedly valued at 75 million euros, on top of which would be particularly high salary demands a significant investment for the Spanish club’s finances.
