On the eve of facing the host country in the semifinals, Valentine Nguele, head coach of Cameroon’s Indomitable Lionesses, displayed unwavering determination while relieving her players of pressure.
Aware of the immense challenge that awaits her in front of the Moroccan crowd, the Cameroonian coach refuses to play it safe and intends to approach this match with composure and ambition.
When asked about the difficulty of facing the host nation at this stage of the tournament, the coach delivered a powerful message of commitment and enthusiasm:
“At this stage of the competition, do you think it’s easier to face the host nation in the semifinals or Nigeria? We no longer get to choose our opponents. There’s no more strategizing to be done: whichever team stands before us, we must face it. Our priority, therefore, is to prepare well and rally the players who will take on the host nation in front of its home crowd. But above all, they must fully enjoy this unique moment. I want them to be happy to be part of this experience, to fulfill their dreams, and to give it their all until the very end. They must fight with everything they’ve got so they have no regrets when the final whistle blows. Let them play with determination, but above all, with joy.”
