FEMAFOOT: Only Mahazou Baba Cisse in the race

Mahazou Baba Cisse is the sole candidate for the Malian Football Federation (FEMAFOOT) presidency after the validation of applications.

The next FEMAFOOT presidential election is set: Mahazou Baba Cisse will run unopposed after three of four applications were rejected.

Reports indicate that no other candidate received Ligue 1 club endorsements, with all top-tier Malian clubs backing Mahazou Baba Cissé.

This choice eliminates any opposition in the process. The focus now shifts to the election campaign and the selected candidate’s platform.

Mahazou Baba Cisse is no stranger to sports in Mali. A former National Director of Sports and Physical Education, he is known for his rigor and his mastery of the inner workings of Malian sports.

He proposes a plan with three major points: reconciliation among football stakeholders in Mali, financial transparency, and the development of grassroots football.
