Adel Amrouche Wins Case Against Rwanda FA, Awarded $360,000

Former Rwanda head coach Adel Amrouche has won his legal battle against the Rwanda Football Association (FERWAFA), with FIFA ruling in his favour and ordering the association to pay him around $360,000.

FIFA has officially communicated its decision to FERWAFA, bringing an end to the dispute between the Belgian-Algerian coach and the Rwandan football governing body.

Amrouche, who previously served as Rwanda’s head coach, had taken the matter to FIFA after a disagreement with the federation. Following the proceedings, FIFA determined that the coach was entitled to compensation estimated at $360,000.

The ruling now leaves FERWAFA with the responsibility of complying with FIFA’s decision and settling the amount awarded to Amrouche.

The case represents another legal setback for the Rwandan federation and provides Amrouche with significant financial compensation following his tenure in charge of the national team.
