AFCON 2027: Kenya settles costs and steps up preparations

Kenya has confirmed its commitment to hosting the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations by paying the $30 million hosting fee to CAF.

Sports Secretary Salim Mvurya used the announcement to formalize a restructuring of the organizing committee, aimed at ensuring more agile and transparent management of the project.

At the same time, the government is stepping up its efforts regarding sports infrastructure.
