Ahmed Mbombo begins New Era with Olympiacos Women’s Team

The former head coach of the Indomitable Lionesses basketball team will lead the Olympiacos women’s team during the 2026–2027 season.

The Olympiacos women’s basketball team has reached an agreement with Cameroonian head coach Ahmed Mbombo Njoya.

No further details have been provided regarding this agreement. What is known is that the Cameroonian has signed on for the 2026-2027 season.

With his extensive experience, Mbombo Njoya is expected to achieve the goals set by the Greek club.

Mbombo Njoya has coached several teams.

In 2008, he took the reins at Frontignan. Between 2016 and 2018, he led La Croix d’Argent in the Prenationale league.

He then took charge of Lattes Montpellier, first with the U18 women’s team in NF2 and later as an assistant coach in the Women’s Basketball League.

In 2019, he was appointed to the Cameroonian women’s national team, first as an assistant coach and later as head coach.
