Lazio Rome had reached an agreement with the player, who has been a free agent since leaving FC Lorient, and his arrival in Italy seemed imminent.
But the deal is now in jeopardy. After arriving in Rome on Wednesday evening, the Senegalese forward was scheduled to undergo his physical on Thursday before signing with the Italian club.
However, initial examinations reportedly raised concerns, particularly regarding his knee. His move to Lazio is therefore in jeopardy.
According to the latest reports from Sky Sport, negotiations could even be called off. This situation adds yet another chapter to the Senegalese international’s tumultuous transfer saga following his departure from Lorient.
