Benin Federation suspends Olivier Verdon

The Benin Football Federation (FBF) has officially imposed a severe sanction on Benin international Olivier Verdon.

Following disciplinary proceedings, the defender has been suspended for a firm six-month period from the national teams, along with an additional six-month suspended suspension.

This restrictive measure bars the player from any call-ups or activities with the Guepards during his mandatory suspension.

According to the national governing body, this decision stems from several serious violations committed by the player regarding disciplinary rules, team conduct, and the technical staff’s instructions.

In an effort to preserve team cohesion, the authority of the coaching staff, and the values of exemplary conduct within the team, the FBF has stated that it will make no further public statements regarding the details and circumstances of this matter.
