The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has confirmed that it has received correspondence from FIFA regarding the proposed FIFA Forward Enterprise initiative as part of an ongoing global consultation process.
According to CAF, the correspondence was well received and forms part of FIFA’s engagement with its Member Associations and the FIFA Council over the proposed initiative.
In response, CAF President Dr Patrice Motsepe will convene a meeting of the CAF Executive Committee next week to assess and evaluate the proposed FIFA Forward Enterprise initiative.
The meeting is expected to provide the continental football governing body’s position on the proposal, with discussions set to focus on its potential impact on African football and its alignment with CAF’s strategic objectives.
The consultation process remains ongoing, with FIFA continuing to engage football stakeholders worldwide before any final decisions are taken on the proposed initiative.
