CAFCC: El-Kanemi Warriors Hold Raja Casablanca to 2-2 Draw in

El-Kanemi Warriors of Nigeria produced a determined performance to hold Moroccan giants Raja Casablanca to an entertaining 2-2 draw in the CAF Confederation Cup on Sunday.

The encounter delivered four goals, with both teams demonstrating attacking intent in a competitive contest that ended with neither side able to secure victory.

El-Kanemi Warriors showed resilience against one of Morocco’s most recognised football clubs, finding the net twice to ensure they remained competitive throughout the encounter.

Raja Casablanca, who boast considerable experience in African club competitions, also demonstrated their attacking quality by scoring twice.

However, the Moroccan side could not find the decisive goal needed to claim all three points.

The result highlighted El-Kanemi Warriors’ ability to compete against established opposition on the continental stage, while Raja Casablanca were left to reflect on a match in which their attacking efforts were not enough to secure victory.

For the Nigerian side, the draw represents an opportunity to build confidence as they pursue their ambitions in the continental competition.

A positive performance against an opponent of Raja Casablanca’s calibre could provide encouragement for their upcoming fixtures.

Raja Casablanca, meanwhile, will be looking to improve their performance in subsequent matches as they seek to strengthen their position in the CAF Confederation Cup.

With both teams scoring twice, the 2-2 result leaves the contest finely balanced, with attention now turning to their next assignments in Africa’s second-tier club competition.
