Nations FC CEO Kennedy Ansah Boakye is confident the club can overturn their 1-0 defeat to Mali’s FC Diarra in the first leg of their CAF Confederation Cup preliminary-round tie.
The Ghanaian side suffered a narrow setback in Mali, leaving them with a one goal deficit to overturn in the second leg as they seek to advance to the next stage of the competition.
Boakye believes head coach Zdravko Logarusic will use the lessons from the first encounter to prepare the team for the decisive return leg.
“I believe Coach Zdravko will have had a fair idea of FC Diarra’s weaknesses and also corrected the weaknesses shown by the team,” Boakye said.
The Nations FC CEO remains optimistic that the team can produce a stronger performance on home soil and secure the result required to progress in the Confederation Cup.
