Ghana’s national team head coach, Carlos Queiroz, has offered a rare glimpse into the meticulous groundwork underpinning the Black Stars’ recent activities, emphasizing a month defined by discipline, structure, and relentless pursuit of excellence.
In a reflective message addressed to his technical team, Queiroz highlighted the depth of effort invested behind the scenes since April 11. According to the veteran tactician, the period was marked by a comprehensive and data-driven approach to performance analysis and player monitoring, underscoring a commitment to building a competitive and resilient national side.
Over the course of the month, the technical team compiled more than 200 detailed video reports tailored to individual player assessments. In addition, 170 matches were monitored through live analysis, while 30 live match observations were conducted to gain real-time insights into player performance and tactical trends.
The scouting network also remained active, with 75 players placed under continuous observation and a further 30 evaluated through direct, in-person assessments. These efforts were complemented by extensive technical and fitness analyses, alongside thorough medical monitoring designed to ensure optimal player condition.
Queiroz was keen to stress that such invisible labor forms the backbone of future success. He praised his staff for their professionalism, loyalty, and unwavering dedication, noting that achievements on the pitch are often rooted in countless unseen hours of preparation.
“The dream of a National Team is built every single day,” the message read, pointing to the importance of consistency, attention to detail, and collective responsibility.
As Ghana continues to shape its path forward, the coach’s remarks serve as both recognition of internal efforts and a signal of intent — that the work is ongoing, and the ambition remains firmly fixed on the future.
