Gambian forward Salieu Drammeh found the net for Lillestrøm SK, but his effort was not enough to prevent a disappointing 2-1 home defeat to Kristiansund BK in matchday 2 of the Norwegian Eliteserien.
After Kristiansund had taken an early lead through Adrian Rønning in the 14th minute, Lillestrøm pushed for a response and eventually found it shortly after the break. Drammeh rose to the occasion in the 55th minute, finishing calmly after being set up by Yaw Paintsil to bring the hosts level and reignite hopes inside the stadium.
However, the celebrations were short-lived. Just a minute later, Kristiansund restored their advantage through L. Alvheim, silencing the home crowd and shifting momentum firmly back in the visitors’ favour. Despite dominating possession and entering the match as favourites, Lillestrøm struggled to find another breakthrough.
For Drammeh, the goal was another positive personal moment as he continues to grow in confidence and importance within the Lillestrøm attack. Yet the result leaves the club frustrated after missing the chance to build momentum early in the campaign.
