Fares Bahlouli is making his return to football after nearly four years away, having officially signed with Algerian top-flight club US Biskra in a bid to revive his career.
The 31-year-old attacking midfielder had not played in a single official match since October 30, 2022, when he played for SK Dnipro in Ukraine.
This long period of inactivity had fueled speculation about the next step in his career.
Having come up through the OL youth academy, Bahlouli went on to play for Monaco, Standard Liège (on loan), LOSC, and then Lyon-La Duchère, before venturing to Ukraine.
US Biskra announced his signing on social media. The former French youth international has signed a two-season contract and now hopes to get back on the field and rediscover the joy of competition.
