FIFA continues to face mounting criticism over its proposal to launch FIFA Forward Enterprise, a new company that would manage the commercial rights of its flagship competitions with support from private investors.
After UEFA voiced its concerns, the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) and CONCACAF have also challenged the project, criticizing Gianni Infantino and FIFA for moving forward without consulting key stakeholders.
Both confederations say FIFA should have involved them before unveiling such a significant reform. They argue that the proposal could have a major impact on the future of world football and believe the governing body should have encouraged broader discussions before making the plan public.
FIFA insists the project will generate additional revenue to support football development around the world. The organization plans to distribute up to $40 million to each member association during the 2027-2030 cycle. However, many football leaders remain unconvinced and continue to call for greater transparency and a wider debate before FIFA takes any final decision.
