Nigerian goalkeeper Maduka Okoye has officially been ruled out of Tuesday’s friendly against Jordan in Antalya, Turkey.
The Udinese goalkeeper, who started in last Friday’s 2-1 victory over Iran, suffered a thigh injury during Monday’s training session.
He has already left the training camp to return to Italy for treatment.
This absence adds to an already long list of unavailable players for head coach Éric Chelle, following the departures of Semi Ajayi and Bruno Onyemaechi.
To make up for this last-minute absence in goal, the coaching staff is expected to start Francis Uzoho or call upon Adebayo Adeleye for this final test of the March international window.
