FUFA is taking part in the FIFA Talent Development Scheme (TDS) Knowledge Exchange Workshop in Kigali, Rwanda, which runs from the 12th to 15th May 2026.

The Regional Talent Development Scheme Knowledge Exchange Workshop has been organised in collaboration with the Technical Leadership Department and brings together Technical Directors and TDS leads from selected Member Associations.

The workshop aims to discuss best practices and opportunities in elite youth development across the region. It also seeks to promote knowledge exchange among participating Member Associations while addressing current topics related to elite player development.

In addition, the seminar is exploring leadership competencies required to accelerate the implementation of the FIFA Talent Development Scheme within Member Associations.

FUFA Chief Executive Officer Edgar Watson, Football Development Director Bashir Mutyaba and Acting Elite Football Development Officer Baker Lukooya represent FUFA. This year’s seminar is focused on identifying effective ways to strengthen elite youth development ecosystems and maximise opportunities provided through the FIFA Talent Development Scheme.
