GFA Communications Director Henry Asante Twum says the association is taking President John Mahama’s concerns over the standard of officiating in Ghana’s domestic football seriously.
President Mahama has raised concerns about the quality of officiating in the domestic game, prompting calls for improvements across the football ecosystem.
Asante Twum said the Ghana Football Association recognises the significance of the President’s comments and is committed to addressing areas that require improvement.
“Once the first gentleman of the land makes such assertions or claims, we just have to sit up and ensure that the things we are doing, we do them better,” he said.
“Those that may have fallen apart, we put things back on track and ensure that we get a better football ecosystem.”
The GFA Communications Director’s comments come amid renewed calls for improvements in officiating, with the association expected to continue working towards raising standards across Ghanaian football.
