GPL: Hearts of Oak Appoint Nebojsa Kapor as Head Coach

Accra Hearts of Oak Sporting Club have officially named Nebojsa Kapor as their new Head Coach, marking a significant step in the club’s ongoing restructuring efforts.

The announcement follows what the club described as an extensive recruitment process, designed to identify a candidate capable of leading Hearts back to prominence both locally and on the continental stage.

Kapor, a UEFA-licensed tactician, arrives with valuable experience in Ghanaian football, having previously managed Tema Youth, Bechem United, and Medeama SC. His familiarity with the domestic game, combined with a reputation for building disciplined, attacking teams, played a key role in his selection.

Club officials highlighted his progressive coaching philosophy and commitment to youth development as qualities that align closely with Hearts of Oak’s long-term vision. The Board expressed confidence in his ability to bring stability, structure, and competitive edge to the team.

The appointment is expected to be the first in a series of technical additions as the club prepares for the upcoming season. Management believes Kapor possesses the leadership and expertise required to guide the Phobians into a new chapter.

Supporters have been urged to rally behind the new coach as he begins the task of reshaping one of Ghana’s most iconic football institutions.
