GPL: Hearts of Oak Held Again as Title Hopes Officially End Against Aduana FC

Accra Hearts of Oak saw their Ghana Premier League title ambitions officially come to an end after a frustrating 0-0 draw against Aduana FC on Matchday 32 at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The Phobians entered the fixture needing victory to keep their slim championship hopes alive, but a familiar problem haunted them once again as they failed to convert their dominance into goals. Hearts controlled large spells of possession and created chances, yet Aduana’s disciplined defensive display ensured both sides settled for a point each.

The stalemate marked Hearts of Oak’s 15th draw of the season — the highest among the league’s top sides — and ultimately confirmed their exit from the title race. Despite boasting one of the strongest defensive records in the division with only 12 goals conceded, the club’s struggles in front of goal have proven costly throughout the campaign.

The result leaves Hearts third on the table with 51 points, eight behind leaders Medeama with only two games remaining. Aduana FC, meanwhile, moved to 47 points in fifth place and remain on course for a respectable finish to the season.
