Ghana captain Jordan Ayew is set to be announced as a new Sheffield United signing on Wednesday, according to reports.
Ayew, who turns 35 on Friday, is expected to bring a wealth of experience to the Blades as they look to strengthen a youthful squad.
Sheffield United have endured a difficult start to their Championship campaign, sitting 15th after five games, and are looking to add experienced players capable of providing leadership and stability.
The move would see Ayew return to English football, where he has previously represented Aston Villa, Swansea City, Crystal Palace and Leicester City.
