Justice : Achraf Hakimi seeks dismissal of rape case

Achraf Hakimi continues to fight the rape and sexual assault case that has involved him since 2023. According to reports from France, the Paris Saint-Germain and Morocco defender appeared before the investigating chamber of the Versailles Court of Appeal to request the dismissal of the case against him. The legal proceedings come at a crucial moment for the player, who is also preparing for the upcoming Champions League final against Arsenal in Budapest.

Accompanied by his lawyer, Fanny Colin, Hakimi challenged his referral to the criminal court and personally reaffirmed his innocence during the hearing. French media reported that the Moroccan international attended the session to strengthen his defense and show his determination to clear his name in court. After the hearing, Hakimi reportedly avoided speaking publicly while his lawyer also refused to comment on the ongoing case.

The judicial authorities will now examine the different arguments presented by both sides before announcing their decision in the coming weeks. The court will determine whether it confirms or overturns the investigating judge’s initial decision regarding the case. Meanwhile, Hakimi remains fully focused on the end of the season with Paris Saint-Germain as the French club prepares for one of the biggest matches in its history.
