Paul Pogba leaves Monaco after just one season

Paul Pogba has left AS Monaco after just one season with the Principality club. Monaco confirmed the departure of the 2018 World Cup winner on Tuesday, ending a partnership that began in the summer of 2025. The player initially signed a contract until June 2027, but both sides agreed to end it before the start of the new season.

Pogba struggled to make an impact during his time in Monaco after spending two years away from competitive football before joining the club. The French midfielder made only six appearances, totaling 115 minutes and starting just one match. Monaco and Pogba agreed that their initial objectives had only partly materialized and decided to end their collaboration by mutual agreement.

Monaco thanked Pogba for his trust and professionalism throughout his time at the club. The French midfielder now leaves the Principality with his future still uncertain as he looks for the next chapter of his career. After a difficult period that has limited his playing time in recent years, Pogba will now have to find a new project capable of helping him return to his best level.
