Zambian midfielder Kings Kangwa is finally an Israeli Premier League winner after missing out on the league title in his debut season (2024-25).
Hapoel Be’er Sheva were crowned winners after beating outgoing champions Maccabi Tel Aviv 4-2, a match in which Kangwa scored a goal and provided an assist. A goalless draw between title rivals Beitar Jerusalem and Songa Chipyoka’s Hapoel Petah Tikva allowed Hapoel Be’er Sheva to win the league with a game to spare.
Kings Kangwa contributed 12 goals and 10 assists in all competitions for Hapoel Be’er Sheva this season.
He added the Israeli Premier League to his title collection in Israel having already won the Israeli State Cup last season and the Israel Super Cup earlier this season.
Hapoel Be’er Sheva will be looking to win another Israeli State Cup with a pending final.
