Ghanaian youngster Caleb Yirenkyi made an encouraging start to life at Coventry City, making his presence felt during his first appearance for the English club against French side AS Monaco in a preseason friendly match.
Yirenkyi, deployed in a more advanced attacking role, came close to marking his debut with a goal but was denied by the Monaco goalkeeper after producing a promising effort.
The Ghanaian, however, did not have to wait long to make a decisive contribution. He registered his first assist for Coventry City, capping an impressive individual outing despite failing to find the back of the net.
It was a promising first appearance for Yirenkyi, who showed attacking intent and adaptability in his new role as he begins his Coventry City journey.
