Senegal international Krépin Diatta has found a new club after leaving AS Monaco in June. The 27-year-old has joined Watford in the Championship on a free transfer, ending his spell in France after five and a half seasons with the Monaco side.
Watford confirmed Diatta’s arrival at Vicarage Road, highlighting his ability to play in several positions on the right flank. The Senegalese international has signed a one-year contract with an option for an additional season as he begins a new chapter in England.
“I am very happy to join the team,” Diatta said after completing the move. He added that discussions with the club convinced him of the project, while stressing his belief that Watford belongs in the Premier League. The Hornets currently sit 20th in the Championship.
