The legendary Anfield Stadium is set to come alive for Matchday 3 of the Champions League with a heated showdown between Liverpool and Villarreal this Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. GMT.
Bolstered by confidence after a perfect start to their European campaign, the Reds are aiming for a third straight win to take a big step toward qualifying.
Across the field, the Yellow Submarine arrives in England hoping to pull off an upset. Although their form has been inconsistent this season, the Spanish club proved against Napoli that it has what it takes to challenge Europe’s top teams on the continental stage.
This tactical showdown promises to be all the more open as both teams will have to deal with lengthy injury lists.
Without key players like Szoboszlai and Nicolas Pepe, both benches will have to rely on the depth of their rosters to set this big European night ablaze.
