Mighty Wanderers Ltd and Zomba City Council have officially sealed an agreement that will see Mighty Wanderers FC using Zomba Stadium as one of its home grounds.
The deal was finalized on Friday through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the two parties in Zomba today.
Representing Zomba City Council was Chief Executive Officer while Mighty Wanderers was represented by the Chairperson of the Football Development Committee of the Board, Counsel David Kanyenda.
Speaking after the signing ceremony, Bakolo said the council is excited to partner with Mighty Wanderers and believes the agreement will help promote football and create excitement among football fans in Zomba and the Eastern Region.
On his part, Kanyenda thanked Zomba City Council for the positive engagement and cooperation throughout the discussions. He said the agreement marks an important step for the club as it continues to expand its presence and bring football closer to supporters across the country.
The agreement means Mighty Wanderers will now be able to host some of its FDH Premiership matches at Zomba Stadium starting with their clash against Silver Strikers on Sunday. Also present during the signing ceremony were officials from both Mighty Wanderers Ltd and Zomba City Council.
