Ghana international Mohammed Salisu made his long-awaited return to Ligue 1 action on Friday night as AS Monaco secured victory over Lens.
The defender featured for the first time in the French top flight since January, marking an important milestone after an eight month spell on the sidelines with an ACL injury.
Salisu’s return provides a timely boost for both Monaco and the Ghanaian national team, with the centre back now working his way back to full match fitness following the lengthy rehabilitation process.
The 27 year old will be hoping to build on his comeback and regain consistency at club level as he makes a return to the Black Stars setup.
