Morocco Confirm Final 26-Man Squad for 2026 FIFA World Cup

Morocco have officially unveiled their final 26-man squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, with head coach Mohamed Ouahbi naming a strong blend of experienced internationals and emerging talent ahead of the tournament.

The Atlas Lions head into the competition carrying huge expectations following their historic semi-final run at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, where they became the first African nation to reach the last four of the global showpiece.

Leading the squad are key figures such as captain Achraf Hakimi, goalkeeper Yassine Bounou and attacking star Brahim Díaz, all expected to play central roles in Morocco’s campaign.

The squad also includes experienced names like Noussair Mazraoui, Nayef Aguerd and Sofyan Amrabat, alongside exciting attacking options including Soufiane Rahimi and Abde Ezzalzouli.

Morocco face a challenging Group A schedule, beginning with a blockbuster opening clash against Brazil on June 14. The Atlas Lions will then take on Scotland on June 20 before concluding the group stage against Haiti on June 25.

The opening fixture against Brazil is already being billed as one of the standout matches of the group stage, while the encounter with Scotland is expected to present a major tactical challenge. Morocco will hope to secure qualification before their final clash against Haiti.

Despite several high-profile omissions from the squad, Ouahbi has placed his trust in a refreshed group capable of combining tactical discipline with attacking flair as Morocco seek to recreate their memorable exploits from Qatar.
