Morocco will have to adjust its preparation plans after the friendly match against El Salvador was officially canceled. Morocco had initially scheduled this game for June 3 in the United States as part of its build-up, but the Central American federation confirmed the cancellation following discussions with the Royal Moroccan Football Federation.
The issue reportedly stems from squad availability, as several players would not have been released in time due to injuries and club commitments.
The situation led Morocco to propose hosting the match locally, but logistical constraints and FIFA regulations made the plan unworkable. In the middle of these complications, the northern African country now turns its attention to finding a new opponent, while El Salvador moves forward with a fixture against Qatar.
