RB Leipzig have reached a verbal agreement with AS Roma for the signing of Moroccan midfielder Neil El Aynaoui, with the move now considered a done deal.
The 25-year-old is set to join Leipzig on an initial loan deal worth €4 million, with the German club holding a €25 million buy option for next summer.
El Aynaoui emerged as Leipzig’s top target for the No. 6/8 position as the Bundesliga side sought to strengthen their midfield options.
The Morocco international is expected to undergo his medical examination before completing the necessary contract formalities and officially becoming a Leipzig player.
If Leipzig decide to trigger the buy option next summer, the midfielder will make his move permanent for a reported €25 million.
