Nicholas Opoku Unveiled by UD Las Palmas After Signing Two-Year Deal

Ghanaian defender Nicholas Opoku has been officially unveiled by Spanish side UD Las Palmas after completing a move from Turkish club Kasimpasa.

The 28-year-old centre-back has signed a two-year contract with the Spanish outfit and is expected to play an important role as Las Palmas aim to secure promotion back to La Liga.

Opoku arrives in Spain following a productive spell in the Turkish Süper Lig, where he made 30 appearances for Kasimpasa last season. His experience at the top level is expected to strengthen Las Palmas’ defensive options as they prepare for the new campaign.

The Ghana international brings considerable experience to the club, having previously played in Italy, Tunisia and Turkey during a career that has also included appearances for the Black Stars.

Las Palmas will be hoping Opoku’s defensive qualities, physical presence and experience can help them mount a serious promotion challenge.

For Opoku, the move represents a new chapter in his career and an opportunity to compete in Spanish football while helping the club pursue its ambition of returning to the top flight.

With his arrival now confirmed, the Ghanaian defender will turn his attention to adapting to his new surroundings and making an immediate impact at UD Las Palmas.
