Paris Saint-Germain secured a 1-0 victory away at Brest on Sunday, but the win came with a concern over Achraf Hakimi. The Moroccan defender left the pitch after suffering what appeared to be a hamstring problem, leaving Luis Enrique unable to assess the severity of the injury immediately after the match.
The French club have now provided an initial medical update on their right-back.
“Having sustained a minor injury to his right thigh during the match against Brest last night, Achraf Hakimi will undergo treatment over the next two days. A further medical assessment will be carried out at the end of this period,” the club announced.
PSG will therefore monitor Hakimi closely before making a decision on his availability for the upcoming Ligue 1 clash against Olympique de Marseille.
For now, the Morocco international has not ruled himself out of the Clasico. The next medical assessment will provide a clearer picture of his condition and determine whether Luis Enrique can count on one of his key players for the important encounter.
