With his contract set to expire next year, Vinicius has yet to agree to an extension, while Arsenal continue to monitor his situation and reportedly view him as a potential €150 million signing.
Real Madrid have now increased their offer to convince their star forward to stay. According to ESPN, the club has proposed a salary of around €22 million per season, up from the €15 million he currently earns. The Brazilian’s camp reportedly wants an even bigger package, with some reports putting their demands close to €30 million per year, as well as bonuses and greater control over his image rights.
Vinicius reportedly wants to secure the biggest contract of his career as he enters his prime. He is also expected to meet Florentino Pérez, who wants to keep the 26-year-old at the Santiago Bernabéu. However, Real Madrid have reportedly refused to meet his demands for a renewal bonus. The coming weeks could therefore prove decisive as both sides attempt to reach an agreement.
