Sadio Mané Unveils FCFA 11.7 Billion Agro Industrial Project in Bambali

Senegalese football star Sadio Mané is set to make a major investment in the agricultural sector with the launch of SM10 AGRO, a large scale agro industrial project in his hometown of Bambali.

The project, reportedly valued at FCFA 11.7 billion ($19.5 million), will focus on mango processing and local agricultural production, with the aim of creating new economic opportunities for communities in the region.

SM10 AGRO is expected to feature four processing units and create more than 1,000 direct jobs. A dedicated training centre will also be established to provide skills development and support for people within the local communities.

Construction of the project is expected to take approximately 18 months, with the first stone scheduled to be laid on September 19, 2026. The development is being supported by Senegal’s investment promotion agency APIX and will benefit from five years of tax and customs exemptions.

The project represents another significant step in Mané’s growing investment activities beyond football, with the Senegal star seeking to contribute to economic development and job creation in his home community of Bambali.
