The Super Eagles of Nigeria have welcomed 20 players into camp as preparations intensify for their upcoming 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying campaign.
Head coach Eric Chelle and his technical crew are expected to lead the players through their first training session as the team begins preparations for the opening qualifier.
The arrival of the players gives Chelle an opportunity to begin tactical preparations ahead of Nigeria’s first assignment in the qualifying series.
Three additional players are expected to join the Super Eagles camp around midday.
They are midfielders Wilfred Ndidi and Samuel Chukwueze, as well as goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali.
Their arrival will further strengthen the squad as the technical crew works towards having the full group available for training.
The Super Eagles are preparing for their 2027 AFCON qualifying fixture against Madagascar, with Nigeria looking to make a strong start to the qualifying campaign.
Chelle is expected to use the training sessions to assess the players, work on his tactical approach and fine-tune the team’s preparations ahead of the competitive encounter.
With more players still expected to arrive, the Super Eagles camp is set to become fully operational as Nigeria begins its push for qualification for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations.
