Tottenham Confident of Completing Omar Marmoush Deal by Next Week

Tottenham Hotspur are increasingly confident they can complete the signing of Egypt international Omar Marmoush from Manchester City by the start of next week as negotiations between the two Premier League clubs continue to advance.

The 27 year old forward has emerged as a key target for Spurs, who are looking to strengthen their attacking options under head coach Roberto De Zerbi. Tottenham have already agreed a deal to sign City winger Savinho and are now pushing to bring Marmoush to north London as part of an ambitious late summer transfer operation.

Marmoush joined Manchester City from Eintracht Frankfurt for around £59 million in January 2025 but struggled to establish himself as a regular starter during the 2025/26 campaign. He made 36 appearances in all competitions, scoring eight goals, with limited opportunities behind Erling Haaland.

Reports indicate that negotiations over Marmoush are progressing, with Tottenham believing an agreement can be reached imminently. The Egyptian forward has also reportedly agreed personal terms on a five year contract with Spurs, further increasing confidence that the transfer can be completed.

The proposed move would represent another major investment by Tottenham, who have already spent heavily during the summer transfer window as De Zerbi looks to rebuild a squad that finished 17th in the Premier League last season.

A potential deal for Marmoush would also give Spurs another versatile attacking option capable of operating across the forward line. His pace, movement and goal scoring ability could provide an important boost to a Tottenham side seeking a significant improvement in attacking output.

Manchester City, meanwhile, are undergoing a major squad reshuffle under new manager Enzo Maresca and appear prepared to sanction the departures of several players as they reshape their squad ahead of the transfer deadline.

With talks continuing at an advanced stage, Tottenham are now hopeful that Marmoush’s move from Manchester City can be wrapped up before the beginning of next week, potentially completing a blockbuster double raid on the Premier League champions.
