Senegalese forward Assane Diao was on target as Como secured an impressive 4-1 victory over RB Leipzig in the UEFA Champions League.
Diao scored Como’s third goal of the match to extend their advantage to 3-1 after a brilliant counter attacking move. Nico Paz picked out Diao’s run on the right side of the box, with the Senegal international producing a stunning finish into the bottom corner.
The goal capped an outstanding attacking sequence from Como, who punished Leipzig with their pace and precision on the break. Diao was later given a warm ovation by the Como supporters and his teammates as he made way for Samuele Ricci.
Como went on to complete a convincing 4-1 victory, with Diao’s goal proving to be a key moment in a dominant performance against the German side.
