Blacks Power responded through Bashir Asiku, who headed home Rashid Yakin’s cross in the 26th minute to reduce the deficit.

The visitors threatened an equaliser after the break, with Asiku hitting the woodwork in the 55th minute before goalkeeper Mathias Kigonya produced an important save in the 75th. Rajab Fazil eventually levelled matters in the 79th minute, but Man of the Match Isaac Wagoina had the final say, converting Alpha Thierry Ssali’s cross in the 89th minute to hand Express their second win of the campaign.

The result lifted Express to 12th on 11 points, while Blacks Power remained eighth with 13. At the Kira Road Police Arena in Kamwokya, Entebbe UPPC recovered from a half-time deficit to beat Ntugasaze 3-1, with Ambrose Kigozi taking centre stage.
