Yacine Brahimi signs for Saudi Club Abha for one season

Algerian international Yacine Brahimi has officially agreed to join Saudi club Abha on a one-season contract.

Abha competed fiercely with Qatar’s Al-Gharafa, which made intensive efforts to renew the Algerian international’s contract, according to the Saudi newspaper Al-Riyadiah.

This deal is part of Abha’s management’s efforts to strengthen the team with experienced players, coinciding with the club’s anticipated return to the Saudi Professional League (Roshen League) next season.

By signing Brahimi, the Leader of the South aims to solidify its position in the top flight and avoid relegation once again, after missing out on the competition for the past two seasons.

Yacine Brahimi has had a distinguished soccer career, having represented the Algerian national team for several years and serving as one of its key pillars.

On the professional level, Yacine Brahimi enjoyed distinguished stints on European pitches with Rennes and Clermont in France, Granada in Spain, and during his golden era with Porto in Portugal.

Brahimi then moved to the Gulf, playing in Qatar for Al-Rayyan until 2022, before transferring to Al-Gharafa, where he spent four successful seasons (2022–2026), after which he decided to take on a new and exciting challenge in the Saudi Professional League.
