Yaya Touré sought to put Slovan Bratislava’s 6-1 defeat against PSG into perspective after their European clash. Speaking to Canal+, the Ivorian coach praised the quality of the French side and described them as “the best team in Europe.” He admitted that facing PSG proved difficult but believes his players showed some positive moments.
Touré also highlighted PSG’s motivation after their recent setbacks. The Parisian side wanted to respond in front of their home supporters and quickly took control of the match. Despite the scoreline, the former Manchester City midfielder believes his team gained valuable experience from facing one of Europe’s strongest sides.
The defeat also gave Touré a clear view of the areas Slovan Bratislava must improve. He wants his players to use the experience to continue developing and perform better in future matches. “We tried our best and had some good spells,” he said, while insisting that the team can learn from the heavy loss.
