Al Ahly coach Pitso Mosimane has dropped a huge hint on where he could go and coach if he were to leave the 10-time CAF Champions League champions.
In an interview with On The Whistle Podcast, Mosimane revealed that he’s been more interested in the Major League Soccer (MLS) in recent months.
Mosimane further said his focus has been more on Seattle Sounders FC whom he has noticed have a lot of supporters.
In addition, Al Ahly coach said he’s hopeful of getting a chance in the MSL. And what makes him believe that is because his former player at Bafana Bafana, Bradley Carnell, was given a chance as head coach by Sounders.
“I can see that Major League Soccer is… I’m getting interest, I’m looking. I’m following football because it’s on TV. I think team Seattle have got so many supporters. It’s unbelievable.” Said Mosimane.
“And it’s coming up well, oh. And by the way, the player I coached at Bafana Bafana, Bradley Carnell, is a head coach in Major League Soccer.
“If he got the chance, probably, I can also get the chance [to coach in MLS].” Added Mosimane.
Mosimane had been critical of the fact that African coaches don’t necessarily get coaching opportunities in big European leagues such as the Premier League, Serie A and Bundesliga among others.
