Super Eagles forward Kelechi Iheanacho and midfielder Onyinye Ndidi both saw play right away as the former Premier League powerhouses lost 1-0 at home to Hull City, but they were unable to save a point for the Foxes.
Both players were substituted as the Foxes attempted to equalise; club legend Jamie Vardy replaced Iheancho after 78 minutes as Cesare Casadei, who was on loan from Chelsea took the place of Ndidi.
Liam Delap, the son of former Stoke City and Premier League legend Rory Delap, was a star in the Manchester City academy and scored the only goal that gave Hull City all three points.

The defeat marks Leicester City’s first in all competitions this year and its first under new manager Enzo Maresca.
Prior to their match against Hull, the Foxes had won their first four games in the EFL Championship and their first two games in the EFL Cup.
The Foxes’ first loss of the year causes them to fall behind top-of-the-table Preston North End, who like Leicester have won four of their first five Championship games but have not yet lost.
Leicester still appears to have a promising season ahead of them despite the loss, and they will be relieved to know that they can rely on Iheanacho and Ndidi, who stayed with the team despite interest from other clubs during the transfer window.
