Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand said Al-Nassr star Cristiano Ronaldo has been robbed of Ballon d’or 2018 which was awarded to Luka Modric.
Ronaldo won the UEFA Champions League being the top scorer that season with 15 goals in 13 appearances having scored 44 goals in 44 matches throughout the season.
However, Portugal was quickly knocked out of the World Cup in Russia where Modric went to the final before losing to Kylian Mbappe’s France.

Many believed if CR7 did not leave Real Madrid for Juventus in 2018, he would have won the award and Ferdinand seems to agree.
Speaking with IShowSpeed on his YouTube channel, the former centre-back said that Ballon d’or was arguably Cristiano Ronaldo’s.
“Cristiano Ronaldo was robbed of Ballon d’or. Modric’s year”, he said.
