Chelsea has reached agreement to sign Leicester City manager Enzo Maresca as replacement for departed Mauricio Pochettino.

According to a post on X by Italian journalist and transfer specialist, Romano Fabrizio, the club has decided to settle for Maresca who guided Leicester City back to the Premier League.

He is expected to sign a five year deal that will see him remain in the club until 2029.

The dealalso includes an option to extend by one year until June 2030.

Chelsea will pay compensation to Leicester City for the Italian.

Official announcement of the deal is expected from the club as they prepare ahead of next season .

Pochettino guided Chelsea to finish sixth in the just concluded Premier League season which could see them play in the UEFA Europa Conference League next season after Manchester United defeated city rivals,. Manchester City to win the FA Cup.
