The Nigerian men’s 4x400m relay team was disqualified at the Paris Olympics for stepping on the line during their heat.

The team advanced to the final after finishing second in heat 2 with a season’s best time of 2:59.81.

Nigeria will no longer compete in the men’s 4x400m final.

South Africa won their appeal in the 4x400m heat, saying that they were hampered as they advanced to the final.
