Transfers DONE DEAL: Vipers SC reunite with goalkeeper Bashir Ssekagya

Six-time Uganda Premier League champions Vipers SC have announced the return of highly skilled and experienced goalkeeper Bashir Ssekagya to the club.

Ssekagya has committed to a three-year contract with the Venoms, securing his stay until the end of the 2026/27 season. The 26-year-old previously played for Vipers from 2018 to 2021 before moving to Kenya Premier League side Wazito FC in 2021.

He later joined Wakiso Giants FC, where he had a notable two-season stint, playing 28 matches in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League during the last campaign. Ssekagya first made his mark in the UPL during the second half of the 2017-18 season with UPDF FC, where he delivered impressive performances.

He has had a loan spell at Proline FC. At Vipers, Ssekagya will provide healthy competition in a department already filled with quality, joining the ranks of custodians Jack Komakech, Alfred Macumu Mudekereza, and Denis Kiggundu.

He is the latest addition to Vipers’ roster, following the signings of Kenneth Kimera, Gusto Mulongo, Derrick Ndahiro, Pedro Sukuya Chimbiambiulo, and another returnee Nicholas Wadada.
