CAF Champions League CAFCL: Nyasa Big Bullets coach Pasuwa talks tough ahead of Red Arrows Showdown

Nyasa Big Bullets coach Callisto Pasuwa says they will be ready for an envisaged Red Arrows onslaught in Saturday’s CAF Champions League preliminary round, second leg encounter set for National Heroes Stadium at 15:00 hours.

The Malawian side lead 2-1 from the first leg played over the weekend. During a pre-match media briefing, Pasuwa said Red Arrows were a very structured side but his team will be aiming to finish off the first leg lead.

“We played first half of the 90 minutes in Lilongwe, we are here for the second half of it. We are playing a structured team, very experienced side and we know what we are expecting from these guys, they will come at us. I think we have plan B for it,” said the Zimbabwean legend.

Pasuwa laughed off media reports that suggested his side were not ready for the return leg after playing a league match in the aftermath of their CAF match.

“I think it is the media, like you said, I do not know how they report, I am telling you we are ready and you are telling me they said which is something else.”

He said his team were at home in Lusaka given the proximity to Malawi. “So far so good, we can’t complain, the boys are feeling as if they are at home.”
